Susannah Wesley Children’s Center (SWCC) began in the early 1970s as a dream of the local United Methodist Women (UMW) to establish a young women’s circle, which they called Mothers n’ Others. This group provided fellowship, support, and child-rearing lectures for young mothers, while their children played under professional supervision.

By 1989, the program, now serving infants through preschoolers, was renamed Susanna Wesley Children’s Center in honor of John Wesley’s mother. SWCC has since grown, offering a credentialed teaching staff, employee benefits, a summer program, and specialized play areas. Today, it continues to thrive and look forward to the future.
